Battalion Chief Brian Bowers

Battalion Chief Brian Bowers began serving the Jackson Fire Department on May 18, 1996. Currently, he is assigned to the Operations Division as Battalion Chief 2 on A-shift.  He is responsible for daily supervision and management of operational activities, equipment and personnel. Battalion Chief Bowers was promoted in November 2014. Throughout his career, he has served in several different capacities including Training Instructor, Driver, Lieutenant, and Captain.

Battalion Chief Bowers has an AAS/EET from ITT Tech, Pro Board and NAFI Certified Fire Investigator, HAZ-MAT Tech, High Angle/Low Angle, Confined Space Rescue and is a member of the Urban Search and Rescue Regional Response Team (USAR).

Of his many roles and responsibilities, his greatest assignment is that of being a Servant, Husband and Father.
