City of Jackson’s Watershed

Please take pride in the City of Jackson and help us protect our watersheds!

What is a Watershed?

A watershed is the area of land that drains to a particular waterbody. Stormwater runoff travels over land and carries pollutants and trash into our waterways. These include fertilizers, pesticides, sediment and pet waste.

Who lives in a Watershed?

Everyone lives in a watershed. Whether you live on a farm, on the coast, in the woods or even a desert. All land drains to one body of water or another.
