National Night Out
National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention in local anti-crime programs;
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs;
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
- Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and taking back their neighborhoods.
The next National Night Out will be held on October 4, 2016 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Jackson will be participating in this 31st annual National Night Out Against Crime.
The Jackson Police Department is asking you and your neighborhood to get involved by turning on your porch lights that evening and having a block party in your neighborhood.
